On Sunday, 27th April 2025, Bishop Stuart University held the swearing-in ceremony of the 21st Guild Government during a special Sunday Service at the University Main Campus. The event marked a smooth and peaceful transition of student leadership from the 20th Guild Government led by H.E. Asiimwe Ronald to the new leadership under H.E. Beinomugisha Robert. Students, staff members, university administrators, and invited guests filled the campus grounds to witness this important milestone. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, thanksgiving, and hope for the future of student leadership at BSU. H.E. Beinomugisha Robert, in his inaugural speech, promised to serve with commitment, transparency, and dedication, focusing on promoting student welfare, innovation, and academic excellence across the university community.

The day was further highlighted by an inspiring sermon from Rev. Asaph Kabakyenga, who emphasized the concept of PPF — Past, Present, and Future — encouraging all in attendance to reflect on where they have come from, recognize the opportunities in the present, and aspire toward a better future. Rev. Asaph creatively broke down the words Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow to illustrate the presence of opportunities: in “Yesterday,” there is no letter “O,” meaning no opportunity; in “Today,” there is one “O,” symbolizing a single chance to make a difference; and in “Tomorrow,” there are multiple “O’s,” representing the abundance of opportunities that lie ahead. His message was a powerful reminder for the new Guild leaders and students to maximize their chances today and keep working diligently towards a brighter tomorrow. It was a call to action to build on the lessons of the past while courageously embracing the possibilities of the future.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of Bishop Stuart University congratulated the new Guild leadership and appreciated the outgoing 20th Guild Government for the achievements they realized during their term, even though specific achievements were not explicitly mentioned. He urged the incoming leaders to be servant leaders who prioritize the needs of the students and uphold the university’s values of excellence and integrity. The Vice Chancellor also spoke about to avoid the influence  of the “5Ps” — power, and others  advising the new Guild team to let these principles guide their leadership journey. The event concluded with blessings, celebration, and renewed commitment from both the outgoing and incoming Guild Governments to serve Bishop Stuart University with honor, courage, and vision.
