On Friday, 25th April 2025, the 20th Bishop Stuart University (BSU) Guild Government led by H.E. Asiimwe Ronald, together with members of his leadership team, officially commissioned the newly constructed Basketball Court at the Faculty of Law. The colorful event attracted students, staff, and university leaders who gathered to witness this historic milestone aimed at promoting sports and wellness within the BSU community.
The commissioning ceremony was graced by the Chancellor of Bishop Stuart University and Presided over by the Chancellor, Bishop Sheldon Mwesigwa. who served as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, the Chancellor commended the Guild Government for their outstanding leadership, commitment to student welfare, and investment in sports infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of sports in nurturing discipline, teamwork, and holistic development among students, urging them to utilize the facility responsibly and competitively.
H.E. Asiimwe Ronald, in his address, thanked the university administration, students, and all stakeholders who supported the project. He reaffirmed his government’s dedication to delivering impactful projects that will leave a lasting legacy at BSU. The new Basketball Court at the Faculty of Law stands as a symbol of teamwork, vision, and the Guild Government’s drive to enhance co-curricular activities for a better and more vibrant university experience.
