On 14th March 2025, Bishop Stuart University will hold a People with Disabilities (PWDs) Day, hosted by the 20th Minister of People with Disabilities, Hon. Betty Kyogabirwe. The event, scheduled to take place from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the BSU Main Hall, will focus on promoting inclusive education and advocating for equal opportunities for students with disabilities. With the theme, “Inclusive Education for All – We Are the Change We Want to See,” the celebration aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities while emphasizing the need for a supportive and accommodating academic environment.
The Chief Guest, Counsel Kabale Allan, who serves as a disability advisor, will deliver a keynote address highlighting the importance of inclusivity in education and society. The event will feature inspiring testimonies, discussions on policy improvements, and strategies to ensure accessibility and equal participation for all students. Through this initiative, the 20th Guild Government reaffirms its commitment to fostering a campus where every student, regardless of their physical abilities, can thrive, learn, and contribute meaningfully to the university community.
