The University Student Leaders’ Patriotism Training at Nkumba University Entebbe will focus on instilling patriotism, enhancing leadership skills, and promoting national values among student leaders. Participants will explore civic responsibility, national pride, and the importance of actively contributing to their communities. The training will cover various topics, including social economic transformation, the Ugandan Vision 2024, and the significance of ideology over biology. Students will also delve into sociology, skilling, Africa’s reality, and political economy, equipping them with a well-rounded understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the nation.

This initiative aims to empower student leaders to become informed advocates for change. By engaging in discussions and activities, they will develop essential skills such as effective communication and leadership, preparing them to play a vital role in shaping Uganda’s future.

The University Student Leaders’ Patriotism Training is organized by the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps, with Hon. Hellen Seku serving as the chief organizer. The event is graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guests, H.E. YK Museveni and Maama Janet Museveni, who will be attending the pass-out ceremony. Their involvement underscores the significance of this initiative in fostering a sense of national pride and responsibility among the youth. Hon. Seku has expressed her commitment to empowering young leaders, and the participation of the President and First Lady highlights the government’s dedication to nurturing patriotism and leadership skills in the next generation. This collaboration aims to inspire students to take active roles in their communities and contribute positively to Uganda’s development.
