On Tuesday, 12th April 2026, the 21st Guild Government successfully organized the 21st Guild Academic Seminar at Bishop Stuart University. The seminar was held in the Main Library, Level 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The seminar was held under the theme “21st Century Skills: Navigating Education, Business, and Technology,” focusing on equipping students with practical knowledge and competencies relevant to today’s dynamic world.

The event was organized under the Ministry of Education and led by the Minister of Education, Hon. Innocent Mumbere Asinja in collaboration with Hon. Twinemukama Deusdediti GRC BCSED, Hon. Byamukama Derrick GRC DAF and Hon. Muhereza Chrispus GRC BSAF.

The seminar featured distinguished facilitators including Dr. Perez Mbiire Batwine Mujuni a lecturer and researcher specializing in economics, management science, and educational management, Mr. Baluku Watsema from the Faculty of Business and Mr.  David K. Muwanguzi, a computer scientist and researcher focused on applying technology and data to improve agriculture and education.

Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable insights into aligning academic pursuits with industry demands, embracing innovation, and developing skills essential for success in the modern economy. The seminar was a great success and reaffirmed the Guild Government’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and career readiness among students.
