On 11th March 2025, representatives from the 20th Guild Government joined students and members of the Bishop Stuart University Bafumbira Association to mourn and support Mwiza Martha, a Diploma in Information and Technology (DIT) student under the Department of CLIT, as she laid her father, Sir Napoleon, to rest. The delegation was led by Hon. Asingwire Martin (GRC BIT), Hon. Humura Ivan (20th Chief Fresher), and Hon. Nayebare Alex (Minister of ICT), who attended on behalf of the Guild Government to express solidarity and extend their condolences to the bereaved family.

The burial, which took place in Kisoro District, brought together relatives, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate the life and legacy of Sir Napoleon. The presence of students from the Department of CLIT and members of the Bafumbira Association reflected the strong sense of unity and compassion among the BSU community. The Guild representatives, on behalf of the student leadership, delivered messages of comfort and support, emphasizing the importance of standing together in times of grief.

The 20th Guild Government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students beyond academics, recognizing the importance of emotional and social well-being. The student leaders encouraged Mwiza Martha and her family to find strength in their faith and the love of those around them. Their presence at the burial demonstrated the Guild’s dedication to fostering a caring and united university environment, where students can rely on their peers and leaders during life’s most challenging moments.
